Although I have only been a member of the Australian Institute of Horticulture for approximately 18 months I have 30 years experience in the Horticultural Industry.
I started working for a wage at the age of sixteen in my father's Rose & Fruit Tree Nursery. It was there I learnt all the business & propagation skills a Nursery man needed to learn to run a thriving business that at that time employed a staff of 25 people.
Later I moved with my husband to Brisbane where I did a Floristry Course, worked for a Florist, and then a Cut Flower Grower picking, pruning and budding roses.
In 2002 moved with my husband and family to Victoria where in 2005 graduated from the University of Melbourne - Burnley Campus with an Advanced Diploma in Horticulture.
I am currently working at a Secondary School in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne as their Horticulturalist and also run a small Consultancy Business.
