DIY Trail Guides

Good news for nature and adventure lovers or anyone who simply loves the great outdoors! NParks has recently launched five newly developed DIY trail guides. They include trail guides for Lower Peirce, Singapore Botanic Gardens, Changi Point Coastal Walk, Ann Siang Hill Park and Esplanade Park. On top of that, another set of five exciting trail guides will be made available by the end of this quarter.

With more than 30 DIY trail guides to choose from, you can truly get up close and personal with nature and greenery. Embark on any one of the walking or cycling trails in our parks, gardens and park connectors. Several trails also wind through our nature reserves filled with greenery and secondary forests. Set against the backdrop of majestic heritage and native trees, most trails provide excellent opportunities for spotting large numbers of wildlife and bird species.

Download a DIY trail guide atwww.nparks.gov.sg/eguides and begin your journey to explore our green spaces! Be it a long seamless walk on a chain of hills and parks, a rustic experience off mainland Singapore or a cycling adventure along green belts, you will definitely find a trail to suit you.

Nature brought to life at Fort Canning Park

Portraits of Nature is the culmination of seven years of photography. Local artist, Choo Meng Foo, exhibits his studies of arthropods and trees through digital photography, along with an audio and video display by collaborative artists, Justin Chin and Jason Ang, to highlight the intricacies of our natural environment.

The exhibition consists of three segments:

Portraits of Arthropods enlarges the world of the arthropods, bringing the audience closer to understanding their forms, movements, behaviours and habitats.

Portraits of Trees captures the essence and intriguing patterns found in leaves, branches and trunks of trees.

Video Works is designed to show the unseen riches of the natural environment that is often overlooked by city dwellers going about their busy everyday lives.
