QLD/NT AIH role descriptions.

Please note that these descriptions are indicative only of the many roles undertaken in these positions.

Position: QLD/NT President.

Role: Lead the AIH QLD and NT in meeting its National corporate mission, objectives and setting strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities identified within this voluntary role provide a guide to the nature and scope of work involved. The extent of involvement by the position holder is discretionary.

 

Manage the planning and operations of AIH QLD/NT in close liaison with the State executive and members and National Executive and Council.

 

Chair State meetings and coordinate or contribute to the direction and outcomes of any sub-committees or working groups.

 

Provide representative support for Member Services including awards, letters, articles, presentations and talks.

 

Address administrative needs such as signatory for payments and authorisations.

 

Develop strategic alliances for the benefit of AIH.

 

Represent AIH within government, industry and the community forums.

 

 

Position:  QLD/NT State Secretary.

 

Role: Manage the correspondence and minutes relating to administration for AIH QLD/NT.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities identified within this voluntary role provide a guide to the nature and scope of work involved. The extent of involvement by the position holder is discretionary.

 

Liaise with Janine or the National administrator (who provides contract administration and book-keeping services to AIH).

 

Prepare and circulate agendas and minutes.

 

Represent AIH within government, industry and community forums.

 

 

Position: QLD/NT Treasurer.

 

Role

Lead the financial management of State AIH in line with direction from AIH National and State bodies. 

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities identified within this voluntary role provide a guide to the nature and scope of work involved. The extent of involvement by the position holder is discretionary.

 

Coordinate the financial program including budgeting estimates, revenue and expenditure projections and reporting, through AIH National.

 

Provide financial reports to State and National Executive and Council.

 

Represent AIH within government, industry and community forums.

 

 

Position: QLD/NT VICE PRESIDENT

 

Role:

Provide a leading support and representative role to the State President in relation to strategic advice on general AIH issues.

 Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities identified within this voluntary role provide a guide to the nature and scope of work involved. The extent of involvement by the position holder is discretionary.

 

Liaise with State and National Council representatives and members on AIH issues.

 

Represent AIH within government, industry and community forums

 

Support the President in the direction of AIH QLD/NT
