BBM Youth Support Award for Horticulture – applications now open!

BBM Youth Support (Big Brother Movement) and AIH have been working together over a number of years to ‘find’ a young horticulturist each year who is eligible to apply for this  $8000 horticulture scholarship in the United Kingdom.

BBM Youth Support is offering an $8,000 Award to young people aged 16-23, designed to help the successful applicant develop specialist skills and widen their networks overseas. Upon their return, Awardees are encouraged to share these skills, enriching communities as role models, mentors, teachers and employers.

The $8,000 Award funds airfares and a cash component to cover all other expenses including accommodation and living costs. The Award is focused on talented young people with an interest in development opportunities in the UK, however Awardees are encouraged to travel widely while overseas.

If you are between the ages of 16 and 23 and are passionate about developing your skills, please apply using the link below.

Once applications close on 1st August, all applications will be sent to the judging panel for assessment. The judging panel is made up of a committee from the Australian Institute of Horticulture.

Successful applicants are invited to attend BBM Youth Supports Awards Night in Sydney to accept the award, and the Australian Institute of Horticulture also extends an invitation to our National Awards.
