AIH Plant Taxonomy Workshop

Arrive 8.30am for 9am start.

 

Taxonomy is the science of plant identification. There is a system to classifying plants and giving them scientific names. The more you can understand the system, the easier it becomes to identify plants.

 

For anyone working with plants, this workshop is an opportunity to explore the subject of taxonomy, and irrespective of what your current level of knowledge is.

 

  • strengthen your understanding of taxonomy
  • update on some of the changes over recent years
  • explore some resources you may not have encountered before
  • network with other horticulturists who may help you with plant identification
