This free event on the Gold Coast will be in partnership with Gold Coast living located at the NEW Sensory Gardens, for all abilities, at Country Paradise Parklands in Nerang. This is a 2 hour hands-on and theory workshop on Designing for Communities, People and Plants. The discussion will centre on how, through design, we can build or rebuild communities. Communities are many; soil, plants, fauna, and human communities. We will talk about how we can build these to create a self-sustaining community encompassing all of the above.

HMA NSW: Tour to Mt Tomah & Bilpin

Join HMA NSW on a wonderful day trip to the cool Blue Mountains. Highlights will be the dahlia display, carnivorous plants (Greg’s specialty) and a behind-the-scenes nursery tour with details of the wollemi pine and waratah breeding programs. We’ll also have a presentation from Senior Horticulturist BMBG and bulb enthusiast Mat Murray who has recently been on an expedition to see the bulbs of Turkey’s Taurus Mountains. Mat will talk about his 12 favourite bulbs. After a short lunch break we will travel to Woodgreen, 25 Powells Road Bilpin, which is just a few minutes away, for a tour of the garden.
