Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2020

Dear Valued AIH Members & Colleagues,

Happy Holiday Season! Hopefully we can start to breathe a small sigh of relief as we fast approach the back end of a year that I’m sure we’re all keen to move on from swiftly! For our members who were first hit by floods and fires and for others who have been impacted by COVID-19, you continue to be in our thoughts and the AIH community send our best wishes to those impacted in the hope and anticipation that your businesses, livelihoods and well-being start to be restored in 2021.

This year AIH has had a strong focus on playing a supporting role going into the aforementioned disasters; the council concentrated on ensuring we played an active role in offering and delivering support and industry guidance for AIH members through these highly challenging events. Our council placed a lot of emphasis and energy on communicating to our members regularly, offering workshops and webinars on business development and also simply being present and available, both personally and professionally.

Looking to the new year, the AIH will continue to perform these important roles and continue to evolve as a professional member focused organisation. We have witnessed the rise in interest in home gardening, growing food and interior plantscapes as more worked from home and experienced levels of comfort in having nature around them. We will continue to promote our industry and our members and encourage you all to be active with us on this path to promotion of the benefits of horticulture.

Wishing all AIH members and families a joyous festive season and a brighter 2021!
