Registered Horticulturist

$440 per year (inc GST)

The Registered Horticulturist program recognises AIH members who are senior practising horticultural professionals in the field. Their skills, experience and reputation are highly regarded amongst their industry peers. The member holds a higher degree of competency and has the backing of an internationally recognised program.

AIH actively promotes Registered Horticulturists to be specified as a requirement for government and private sector contracts.

Terms and Benefits

Registered Horticulturists must follow a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and accumulate CPD points by attending events, gaining training or other forms of skills development.

Applicants must be a member of AIH and either be a qualified horticulturist with at least 5 full-time equivalent years experience as a senior practitioner in the industry OR 8 years full time equivalent years as a senior practising horticulturist.

In combination with MAIH or FAIH, RH Members are entitled to use the post nominal RH 000 (each RH is provided with a registration number).

A Registered Horticulturist (RH) must:

  • Hold Professional and Indemnity Insurance.
  • Members must commit to apply the Institute’s Code of Ethics.
  • Participate in the AIH Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Program.
  • Attend workshops and approved activities and events and achieve 24 CPD points in a two-year period.

Annual renewal falls due July 1st. Payments are received online using Visa, MasterCard or American Express.
