Student Membership

$99 per year (inc GST)

Student membership is open to all students in their first horticultural qualification equal to, or above, the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate level 3 (as of 2023) or other such level 3 qualification that the AIH Australian Council may approve.

Students may only hold this membership level for a maximum of 3 years, whether full or part time study, after which time they must upgrade their membership type.

Once studies are completed they may upgrade to the Graduate level membership for a maximum of 2 years.

Already qualified but enrolled in further study?

Students who are enrolled in their second horticultural qualification (AQF level 3 and above), either full or part time, must join the Graduate level membership.

All AIH Members must commit to apply the Institute’s Code of Ethics.

Benefits 

Students will have access to AIH HortInsights Publication, AIH E Newsletters and on-line copies of Hort Journal.

Students will receive invitations to selected AIH professional development webinars, workshops and AIH events.

Student members do not receive a listing on our Members’ Directory. They also can’t use the logo on their business or personal email, or have the use of a post-nominal after their name.

Students of AIH Preferred Providers Fees

If you are enrolled with TAFENSW, TAFEQLD, TAFE Victoria, Uni of Melbourne or ACS Distance Education please contact your education institute for the current financial year’s AIH student fee exemption code.

Annual Subscriptions 

Annual renewal falls due July 1st payments are received online using Visa, MasterCard or American Express or enter your membership fee code.

For students with a membership fee code 

Once you have completed the application process ensure you enter the code when asked to make payment.
Remember that this code is year specific ie new code is issued every financial year starting July 1st.
