Since its inception in 1983, the program has continually evolved and adapted to deliver to the next generation of practical and impactful leaders.

The Program’s Purpose:

Global Footprints Scholarships is dedicated to providing young Australians in vocational careers, specifically agriculture, horticulture, and trades, with unparalleled opportunities for international exposure and hands-on experience. Our purpose is to support individuals who are not only skilled professionals but also committed to shaping a sustainable future, aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Key Points:

WHAT: A structured program of workshops, professional coaching and networking, customized for each cohort’s needs, plus funding for self-directed overseas work experience

WHO: 18-25 year olds starting out in vocational careers in agriculture, horticulture and trades.

WHEN: Applications are open every year from 1 May to 1 June. The pre-travel program runs from September to December, followed by a minimum of 20 days of overseas work experience, a workshop and graduation. The program can be completed in 6 – 18 months depending on individual travel and scholarship placement plans.

Program Highlights:

Sustainability Focus: The program places a strong emphasis on sustainability, aligning with the global call for responsible leadership in various industries.

Proven Legacy: With a history of awarding over a thousand scholarships, BBM has established a legacy of nurturing young talents and propelling them into impactful roles.
